WASHINGTON, March 29 (Reuters) - The U.S. Federal Trade
Commission filed suit on Tuesday against Volkswagen AG
for falsely advertising that hundreds of thousands
of its diesel vehicles were environmentally friendly, when the
German automaker knew they were actually emitting excess
pollution.
