UPDATE 1-Taylor Wimpey announces special payout as UK housing stays strong

May 17 (Reuters) - British housebuilder Taylor Wimpey Plc

promised investors a larger payout than previously

expected over three years on Tuesday, underpinned by strong

demand for property in the UK, sending its shares up about 4

percent.
