UPDATE 3-U.S. auto sales growth falls short of estimates

July 1 (Reuters) - Robust demand for pickups and SUVs pushed

up U.S. auto sales in June but the growth fell short of

estimates as General Motors, Toyota Motor Corp

and Volkswagen sold fewer vehicles.
